Event Description

Pink Oktober 2026: Breast Cancer Awareness Carnival is a public awareness initiative dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, encouraging early detection, and empowering individuals to take proactive steps towards better health. Organised in conjunction with Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), this six-day carnival aims to bring essential health information, educational activities, and community engagement opportunities to the public in an accessible and welcoming environment.

Taking place from 19 to 24 October 2026 at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), the carnival is designed to reach people from all walks of life, including working professionals, families, commuters, and members of the wider community. By bringing breast cancer awareness activities to a major transportation hub, the initiative seeks to make health education more accessible to the public and encourage more people to prioritise their well-being amidst their daily routines.

Promoting Early Detection and Preventive Healthcare

Breast cancer remains an important public health concern, and raising awareness about early detection is essential in improving health outcomes. Understanding potential warning signs, recognising personal risk factors, and seeking appropriate medical advice can help individuals make informed decisions about their health.

Pink Oktober 2026 aims to encourage greater public understanding of breast health and the importance of regular health checks. Through educational activities and engagement with healthcare professionals, visitors will have opportunities to learn more about breast cancer awareness, screening options, and the importance of seeking professional medical advice when necessary.

The carnival will feature free health screening activities, providing members of the public with an opportunity to access selected health checks. Screening availability, eligibility, and procedures will be subject to the arrangements established by the event organisers and participating healthcare providers.

Six Days of Health Education and Community Engagement

Throughout the carnival, visitors can participate in a variety of educational and interactive activities designed to make health awareness more engaging and meaningful.

1. Free Health Screening
Encouraging individuals to take an active interest in their health through selected screening services and basic health assessments.

2. Health Talks
Providing educational sessions that help the public better understand breast cancer awareness, early detection, healthy living, and preventive healthcare.

3. Interactive Question-and-Answer Sessions
Offering opportunities for visitors to ask questions, clarify common misconceptions, and gain valuable health information in an engaging environment.

4. Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibition
Presenting educational information about breast health, potential warning signs, screening awareness, and the importance of timely medical consultation.

5. Interactive Quiz Activities
Encouraging visitors to test their knowledge, discover useful health information, and participate in awareness-building activities in an enjoyable way.

Building a More Health-Conscious Community

Pink Oktober 2026 is more than a public event; it is an opportunity to bring people together around a shared commitment to health, knowledge, and community well-being. By combining education, screening activities, and interactive engagement, the carnival seeks to create a supportive environment where individuals feel encouraged to learn, ask questions, and take positive steps towards protecting their health.

The initiative also highlights the importance of collaboration among healthcare organisations, corporate partners, community groups, and public institutions in advancing health awareness and promoting accessible healthcare education.
